Overview
• For compressible flows, density is a function of both pressure and temperature.
• The compressible flow option should be considered when the maximum expected Mach number is above 0.3. (Note that for some applications, the incompressible option may be used up to Mach numbers of 0.7.)
• The compressible flow option should always be selected if the Mach number is above 0.7.
• Compressible flows are virtually always turbulent.
